Horses aren’t just our business. They are our passion!
Co-owner and barn manager, Tyler Naumann, is a CHA certified riding instructor in both English and Western seats. Prior to moving to Southern Oregon, she taught at Garrod Farms Stables in Saratoga, California. She has two years of extensive sorting and team penning training and has explored training in western pleasure, english pleasure, gymkhana, and jumping disciplines.
Tyler strives to establish a working relationship between horses and riders, focusing on the understanding of teamwork and forming bonds, and loves to share her overall horsemanship knowledge with riders looking to learn. She finds that some of the most effective communication methods between horse and rider can be developed by deepening understanding of how the horses naturally communicate with each other.
Liv started her journey with horses at three years old, riding in the laps of family members on their Belgian draft horse. Growing up alongside horses and other farm animals, she strengthened her understanding and overall awareness of the importance of equine care. She has expanded her understanding of communication and overall horse behavioral traits over time, primarily through working out behavioral challenges with her personal horse.
She uses her knowledge of centered and balanced riding to help students develop their effectiveness in communicating with different horses. Students being in tune with their own body can allow to them to better understand the actions and reactions that they cause in the saddle.
Taylor started riding when she was five years old, attending summer horse camp in Washington. A few years later, she adventured into the hunter/jumper riding discipline and began taking lessons and competing. After moving to California for college, she leased an off the track thoroughbred and fell head over heels in love with the breed. She later bought her personal horse, Movie, a thoroughbred that had only been ridden twice since his racing career ended. Together they have developed, grown, and learned a lot about jumping.
She enjoys sharing her love of jumping and working closely with students to tailor her lessons to achieving their personal goals. Taylor believes that riding is a pastime that drives horse and rider to build a partnership and allows a wide variety of goals to be achieved.
